A Forty in the Snow at Roseau!

We arrived to find the whole complex covered in snow but with plenty of work to be done prior to our customers arriving we had to ignore it and get on with the jobs in hand. I brought along my good friend Graham who is a regular at Roseau; bringing essential supplies from back home. Graham, never the one to miss out on the opportunity, brought along a couple of rods in the hope of catching a fish after a day working on the complex.
His first night was deadly cold and the lake seemed lifeless, despite best efforts it was to no avail but determination, good watercraft and the ability to sniff out a chance would pay off the following evening with a 14lb Mirror and a 27lb’er.
Feeling confident in another take he applied a very small amount of bait the following afternoon with the intention of casting back out to his clips that evening.
Dinner was served plentiful as always and a nice bottle of Red followed before he retired to his home. Unfortunately the night passed him by with no action, but an hour before reeling in for another hard days work he recieved a couple of bleeps on his receiver, tightening down to his lead he could feel a resistance; lifting into the fish a strong battle commenced and a short time later he lifted his net around Big Tail at 41lb 12oz!

It just goes to show our customers what a great venue Roseau is, even in the harshest conditions you can always get a take…
See you on the bank!
Roy
